ORDINANCE NO.   2003-7

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A ONE-WAY ALLEY AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION.

Be It Ordained by the Town Council of the Town of Millersburg:

Section 1:        That the portion of the north and south alley lying between Jefferson Street and Sherman Street shall be a one-way alley beginning at the east west alley intersection between Lincoln and Washington Streets going north.

Section 2:        That  the Marshal is directed to secure appropriate signs, conforming to State standards as to size, designating said alley as “One-Way” and prohibiting entry from Washington Street and erect the same pursuant to State standards.

Section 3:        That for each violation the town shall be entitled to a judgment of up to Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) together with court costs, and if a defendant fails to satisfy a judgment entered against him for a violation, the Clerk of the Court shall certify the unpaid judgment to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

Section 4:         That this Ordinance shall be effective upon publication and posting as provided by law and upon erection of the traffic signs as provided herein.
