The regular monthly meeting of the Millersburg Town Council was held on Monday December 8th, 2003 at 6:30 P.M. at the Millersburg Town Hall .
Robert Majdak called the regular meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
A motion was made by Robert Majdak to approve the minutes for November 24, 2003 . The motion was seconded by Max Miller and carried by a voice vote.
It was reported by Kurt Kritzman to the Clerk/Treasurer that the Park planted 100 blue spruce trees in November at Cook Station Park .
Kurt Kritzman informed the Clerk/Treasurer that a concrete slab was poured under the small pavilion at Eagle Park on December 3rd, 2003.
Park Board President Lee Nisley was present to ask the Council if the Park Board does not spend all the money budgeted for 2003 will the Park Board lose it. Clerk/Treasurer Wanda Chupp answered that the money will roll over, but at any time the money is needed after the new budget is adopted an additional appropriation will have to be filed with the State Board of Accounts. Park Board President Nisley informed the Council that he will have approximately $5,000.00 left over from the 2003 budget.

The computer process for the new Neptune meters will be ready by the beginning of January 2004.
Superintendent Eldridge informed the Council that Beer & Slabaugh will be in town the week of December 8th 2003 to replace the two (2) new fire hydrants and mark the Larimer Street utilities for the drainage project.

Approval for Jack Lantz to be paid for 40 hrs of vacation in lieu of taking the time off. Approved.
Director King recommended that a raise of .64 cents be given to Maintenance Assistant Jack Lantz in addition to his 3% raise to start on January 1st, 2004 . The total raise would be $1.00. Council approved. The raise will reflect in the 2004 Salary Ordinance.
Director King informed the Council that the computer at the Street Department has crashed. After talking to Dell Computer tech support it was determined that both the processor and mother board are bad. Director King informed the Council that he would get quotes and bring them back to the next regular meeting.

Approval for Marshal Keith Hathaway to be paid for 80 hrs of vacation in lieu of taking the time off. Council approved and a request/ time sheet form was signed by the Council.
Review the Horizon Project Interlocal Agreement. Council President Robert Majdak informed the rest of the Council that he would recommend that the Town not participate at this time. President Majdak would like to wait until the project gets underway and let the next Council decide if they want to participate as a member of the Council will need to represent the Town of Millersburg at meetings. Council agreed.
Adopt and sign Salary Ordinance 2003-14 for 2004 salaries. Tabled.
Adopt and sign Resolution 2003-15 a resolution to put all interest earned into the General Fund starting January 2004. James Winkler made the motion to adopt Resolution 2003-15 Robert Majdak seconded and motion was carried by a voice vote.
