Town Council Minutes - 03-11-02


Robert Majdak called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

A motion was made by Robert Majdak to approve the minutes for February 25th, 2001. The motion was seconded by Greg Baumgartner and carried by a voice vote.

• Jack Lantz representing the Millersburg American Legion Post 484 at 106 W. Washington Street asked the Council if the Legion could combine the new building address at 110 W. Washington and 106 W. Washington Street using the 106 W. Washington address for both buildings? Robert Majdak made the motion to approve the request seconded by Greg Baumgartner and carried by a voice vote. There was an agreement to put the request and approval on letterhead by both parties.

• Monthly report-Printer broke wasn’t available.
• WWTP maintenance continuing report-Wasn’t discussed.
• Revised quote from Beer & Slabaugh for sludge removal. See attached. Superintendent Eldridge reported on the quote received, but no action taken.
• Ben Eldridge- (6) month evaluation. Not discussed.


IV. Maintenance Director
• Monthly report-See attached
• Maintenance Assistant Jack Lantz asked the Council if the branches that the Street Department takes to the Park could be burned? President Robert Majdak suggested that Mr. Lantz check with the Fire Department. Council member Greg Baumgartner advised the Council that the Town burning branches might cause a ruckus since town people are not allowed to burn. It was agreed that the branches would be chipped.


V. Marshal
• Monthly Stats-See attached
• Update on security system. Marshal Hathaway was directed to check with Nobi on the quote requested from them and report back with more information at the next town meeting.

VI. Clerk/Treasurer
• New premiums where received from John Alden Insurance. Quotes from Anthem Blue Cross-See attached. R.J. Reece is searching for better rates and will attend the March 25th, 2002 meeting with options.


VII. New Business

• Resident Duane Mahler suggested sending a mailing to each resident notifying residents of the new rate changes.

Robert Majdak made the motion to pay bills. The motion was seconded by Max Miller and was carried by a voice vote.
